The STA run a series of conference and exhibition events throughout the UK aimed to inform and inspire plus a series of Factory Tours hosted by our members.

We also support, exhibit and speak at a range of wider industry events on behalf of the structural timber sector.

Build It Live - Manchester

23rd February 2019 at Event City, Manchester

STA Member to Member Networking Event Birmingham

28th February 2019 at Gallery Suites, NEC, Birmingham

STA Estimating Guide Launch at futurebuild

5th March 2019 at ExCel, London

In partnership with leading cost consultants Rider Levett Bucknall, the STA will be launching the new Estimating Guide at futurebuild 2019. Taking place on the Structural Timber theatre at 3pm this guide is aimed predominantly at; Quantity Surveyors, Housebuilders, Contractors and Specifiers.

The launch will be held on the Structural Timber Theatre at 15.00pm on day one of the show (05 March). Joining us to present the Estimating Guide will be Ian Dacre -  Partner at Rider Levett Bucknall; Ann Bentley - Global Director at Rider Levett Bucknall and Lead on Lead on Supply Chain and Business Models at the Construction Leadership Council.

Robertsons Timber Engineering Factory Tour

11th March 2019 at Robertsons, Seaham

Robertson Timber Engineering has been providing offsite solutions for over 30 years. During this time, they have worked with a range of clients forming partnerships with major house builders whilst maintaining a strong presence in other sectors including Education, Healthcare, Leisure & Hospitality, Commercial, Residential and Schools.

These factory tours cover the process of timber frame production and construction from the material store through to the several mechanical cutting, nailing and finishing procedures to the finished product and delivery to the yard where they are stacked.

It will also cover how materials are checked and located within the curtilage of the site and stacking according to a construction programme, ready for delivery to the Clients’ site.

Explore Offsite Housing

27th March 2019 at QE2, London

Explore Offsite Housing is a one day conference and exhibition creating a platform for construction clients and their professional advisers to explore the latest offsite construction solutions, providing a dynamic and interactive learning experience for all visitors.

This event will consist of a conference of circa 180 delegates and an exhibition of circa 25-30 companies from a range of offsite technology providers including; timber frame, light steel frame, precast concrete, bathroom pods, volumetric buildings, building services plus CLT, glulam and a range of hybrid technologies.

This event s is aimed at attracting construction clients; construction professionals: architects, architectural technologists, designers, surveyors, engineers; facilities managers; building product manufacturers and suppliers.
