Project: Willow Burn Hospice, Lanchester

Company: Curti Lifts

Sector: Healthcare

Technology: Timber Frame

Project Overview:
Curti Lifts were asked by a long standing client & STA member to supply our Space Saver Platform Lift for a project in a timber frame building without the need for a steel support structure.
The lift was to serve two floors, be DDA compliant and only require a 150mm deep pit. The lift equipment must also have adjustment to take into account the building’s settling in period and operate from a single phase power supply.

Project Type/Application:
Our project team liaised with the client’s structural engineers to provide timber supports that would be accepting of the lifts loads & forces. Curti Lifts provided their fully Automatic 450KG/ 6 Person Space Saver DDA compliant Platform Lift.

Outcome / results / success factor
The Space Saver Platform Lift was installed successfully and has been in service for over 3 years without any problems or the need for any adjustment due to building settling.
